File FAFSA for Summer

Year-round Pell grant funds allow qualifying students who have not reached their lifetime eligibility usage to continue enrollment toward completion of their selected certification or degree program. To receive a Summer Pell grant, students must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Have completed the 2020/2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and listed Sauk Valley on that application (federal school code 001752)
  • Have a financial aid award that include 2020/2021 Pell grant
  • Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in courses that are required for the certificate or degree of study**

**If students were enrolled less than full-time Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 and had a Pell grant award, unused funds may be available for Summer term for enrollment (see chart).

The Financial Aid Office will automatically award Pell grant for Summer semester to qualifying students.
